Year 5

As Year 5 begins, there are many exciting opportunities for all of us to look forward to: new roles, new topics and new experiences and opportunities. Hopefully, it will be a year to remember and a success for all! We are an enthusiastic and cheerful class who are always eager to learn more. We are determined to show our school values and believe that anything is possible if you have a positive attitude. We enjoy being adventurous and working collaboratively to seek new and exciting information. As a member of Year 5, we all enjoy celebrating our successes together.

You will find our class newsletters which will provide you with an overview of our learning each term.

Our Teacher is Mr Wright and our TAs are Mrs Moore and Mrs Cockings.

Term 1

Marbling

We had the opportunity to get messy in art. We used a mix of food colouring, shaving cream and imagination to work towards our end of term art gallery. We were working on the skills of marbling which the children then created planets from. Everyone used their determination, positivity and collaboration skills to make the most of the day and we hope that parents and carers will enjoy the results at the end of the term.

Harvest Assembly

The children had a great time sharing their learning during their Harvest Assembly. The singing voices were wonderful as were the poems created and the still life art that was presented.
