Nursery Funding

Sessions

Sessions are as follows, term time only:

8.45 am – 11.45 am

11.45 am – 2.45 pm

Funded sessions are available or sessions cost £16.00.

Entitlement to a Free Early Education place does not offer a guarantee of a place at any one provider or a particular pattern of delivery. 

 

15 hours of funding is 5 sessions. This could be every morning or every afternoon, or 2 and a half days or a combination. 

30 hours of funding is 10 sessions, which would be all day, 5 days a week.

8am–8.45am at £4.50

2.45pm–4pm at £8.00

Free for 2s funding

Some 2 year olds can get up to 15 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year. Find out if you are eligible for Free for 2s funding here

Children can start nursery before they become eligible for funding, but you will have to pay their fees, which are currently £14.00 per session.

 

Universal Funding

All 3 and 4 year olds can have up to 15 hours of free childcare each week for 38 weeks of the year. Find out more about Universal funding for 3 & 4 year olds here

 

30 hours funding

Eligible working families can have an additional 15 hours of free childcare each week for 38 weeks a year. To qualify, each parent (or sole parent in a single parent family) will need to earn on average the equivalent of 16 hours on the national minimum wage per week and no more than £100,000 a year. You must confirm your eligibility every 3 months from the date you applied to receive the extra hours. You must also reconfirm your code even if your child has not yet started their 30 hour place.
