During our visit, the volunteers taught us how to write our name in Arabic, many of the children found that their names started with surprising letters due to different phonetic systems. Then, we had some fun tasting dates and trying on different hats and clothes. Then we learned about the role a mosque plays in the community and how it is more than just a place of worship. Our final learning was about the wudu (washing ritual) to refresh and purify yourselves before entering the mosque.

We started the day by having a skeleton workshop, learning all about different animal skeletons. Then we had some time to explore the park and see all of the different animals - we were all very brave and went across the rope bridge over the bear enclosure! Finally, we got to play in the playpark, before heading back to school.
