Year 3
We are a fantastic class who are determined to demonstrate our school values. We always try to have a positive attitude. We believe that we should respect our staff, our equipment and our environment so that we can work as a safe and happy team. We are collaborative cats who support each other.
You will find our class newsletters which will provide you with an overview of our learning each term.
Our teacher is Miss Morrison and our TA is Miss Harding

Term 1:
This term, we have stepped into the shoes of palaeontologists and enjoyed exploring the fascinating world of fossils! We have learnt how fossils are formed over millions of years and discovered where they can be found. We have also learnt about the three different types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic and explored their different properties. We then put our learning into practice by creating our own rocks and thinking carefully about how and why different rocks are formed.

We have used our knowledge of fossils to write our own explanation texts, carefully explaining each stage of the fossilisation process and using scientific vocabulary to show our understanding.
