Cross Country

On Friday 21st of January, four children from Gold Class competed in a cross-country event at the Duke of York’s Military School. After running a relay mile, the cross-country team finished in an amazing 7th place out of 12 Kent schools. The children showed excellent sportsmanship, congratulating and cheering for other schools, including other schools in the Whinless Down Academy Trust. The children should feel incredibly proud of all that they achieved and should be incredibly proud for demonstrating our school values whilst at another school. Well done!

Cheerleading Festival

On Friday 4th of February, four children from Indigo Class attended a Cheerleading Festival along with other local schools. At the festival, the children worked collaboratively to create new routines and learn new skills. They demonstrated determination and resilience when learning how to do cartwheels and when taking part in a group pyramid.  All the children said that they had so much fun and that they feel more confident after taking part. Well done!
